Club Rules & Field Guidelines - Stuyvesant High School Soccer Club
StuyFooty is casual pickup, but games run smoothly when everyone respects the field, organizers, and other players.
What we expect every session
These rules apply to every Friday pickup session.
Everyone plays
Beginners and experienced players rotate evenly. Everyone gets time on the ball.
Respect each other
Keep competition positive. No insults, arguing, or unsportsmanlike behavior on or off the pitch.
Proper footwear
Wear athletic clothes, bring water, and wear turf shoes or sneakers. Metal studs and blades are not allowed on turf.
Be on time
Sessions start at 3:35 PM. If you arrive late, check in with an organizer before rotating in.
Play safe
No slide tackles or reckless physical contact. Stay on your feet and play clean soccer.
Field care & cleanup
Listen to organizers, rotate fairly, help collect cones and pinnies, and pick up any water bottles or trash.

Pickup games are open and welcoming for all Stuyvesant students across all four grades.
Consistency
Weekly games run reliably when players show up on time and communicate every Friday after 10th period.
Fun
Competitive games are fun, but good sportsmanship and having a good time after a long school week come first.
Common Questions
Do I need experience?
No. The club is open to all skill levels, including students brand new to organized soccer.
Can I bring friends?
Yes, all Stuyvesant students are welcome! Check in with organizers when you arrive so we can rotate you in together.
What if weather is bad?
Updates are broadcast through our Instagram stories (@stuyfootyclub) and Epsilon chat by 2:00 PM on Fridays.
What happens if someone breaks rules?
Organizers may give a warning, sit a player out for a rotation, or escalate depending on the severity of the offense.
